UC Education Abroad Program (UCEAP)

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese participates in the system-wide Education Abroad Program offered by the University of California, providing long-term study (from one quarter to one year) at participating foreign universities. Opportunities for study in Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking countries are available in many countries for students that are either majoring or minoring in Spanish or Portuguese. For more information, please consult the EAP website.

For students wishing to petition EAP courses towards major or minor requirements, please consult the following guidelines.

Students may also explore options offered through non-UC-affiliated programs but should consult with a counselor at the International Education Office to discuss options and procedure for participating in a non-UC study abroad program prior to committing. There are no guarantees for credit transferal, which makes consultation critical for students considering alternate programs.
