2026 Application for Summer & Travel Study Program Teaching Assistantship

For students to be considered for Summer 2026 TA and Travel Study positions, please complete this form by Friday, December 5, 2025 (PT).

The Department of Spanish & Portuguese plans to offer the following courses in Summer Session 2026:

• Session A – 6 weeks (June 22 – July 31, 2026)
  • • • SPAN 1, 2, 3
• Sessions A3, B3, C3 – SIS-Intensive- 3 weeks each (June 22 – August 21, 2026)
  • • • *SPAN 1, 2, 3
• Session C – 6 weeks (August 3 – September 11, 2026)
  • • • SPAN 2, 3

*In order to be selected to teach the SIS Intensive courses, you must have taught previous Summer Session courses at UCLA.

The 2026 Travel Study Programs are the following:

• Merida program (June 27 – July 25, 2026)
• Granada program 1 (June 26 – July 24, 2026)
• Granada program 2 (July 24 – August 21, 2026)

The offerings of the 2026 Travel Study Programs will be based on approval and guidance from the UCLA administration. Programs may be cancelled and the number of TAships available for each of the programs are contingent upon the number of enrolled students.

Please make sure you read and understand the Department’s criteria for assignments:

• Language Courses during Summer Sessions
• Summer Travel Study Program. Number of Teaching Assistantships selected for each program are contingent upon program’s enrollment numbers.
