My research focuses on bilingualism and its evolution in the midst of other languages in the United States. In particular, I am interested in how Cuban Spanish develops in the face of other dialects in Los Angeles. My latest work has focused on heritage language pedagogy in secondary school curriculums in the Los Angeles area.
