Research

I am specializing in Latin American literatures and cultures, with a focus on Andean and Amazonian cultural production. I am currently writing my thesis on the cultural representations of mining terror in the Andes from the end of the 19th century to the present. My work aims to develop new concepts that contribute to decolonize and re-dramatize the debate on extractivism in Latin America. Moreover, I am finishing the edition of a general volume on Human Rights with a special section on Ecosocial Human Rights focused on the Andean and Amazonian regions (to be published during the Fall of 2020).
