Research
I am interested in sociolinguistics and heritage Spanish speakers in communities like Los Angeles. In particular, I am interested in seeing how heritage speakers convey their identity through language. Lately, I have been exploring how heritage speakers use inverted Spanglish, and their attitudes towards mock Spanish and inverted Spanglish.
