Cristina Nekane Gómez Lacabex joined UCLA’s Department of Spanish and Portuguese in September 2019.
With academic interests that range across teaching methodologies,multiculturalism, socio emotional skills and education strategies, Cristina has worked as a language teacher for different Basque schools and companies such as the Basque Public Television (EiTB), BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Center), and has also been involved in various Academic Departments in Instituto Cervantes (The Netherlands), supervising and creating new entry examinations for Hispanic Studies at Erasmo University in Rotterdam.
Cristina has worked and trained in multicultural environments in Utrecht, Amsterdam and The Hague, and has trained in various schools including Goldsmiths University of London and UCL (University College London).
