Research

My primary research interests include Portuguese and Hemispheric Literatures from Romanticism up to the 21st century. Particularly, I am interested in examining the problem of order / disorder in literature through the study of concepts related to science, philosophy, media studies, and literary criticism. Lately, I have been delving into concepts such as love, experimentation, parody, simulation, becoming, repetition, and entropy.

Additionally, the problem of nationality and cosmopolitanism in the Iberian Epic Poetry from the Renaissance is of secondary concern to me.
