Research
I’m interested in experimental phonetics, phonology, and sociolinguistics. In particular, I’m interested in vowels in heritage speakers, languages in contact, how dominance affects language production, dialectal differences. Lately, I’ve been working on my thesis project that is focused on vowel production in late bilinguals, early bilinguals, and L2 learners of Spanish. My project implements variables such as cognate status and stress to see how they impact vowel production.
