Research

I’m interested in twentieth-century Mexican literature and culture.
In particular, I’m interested in the portrayal of women, marginalized voices and characters, cultural traditions, biculturalism, the formation of identity, and the influence of Catalan culture in Mexico. Lately, I’ve been working on Rosario Castellanos and contemporary Chicanx literature.
