Assistant Professor Javier Patiño Loira has been awarded two grants for the coming year in support of his research. The first is a one-month virtual fellowship at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC. The second is a one-month residential fellowship at the Linda Hall Library in Kansas City, Missouri. The grants will assist him in completing his project on Ingenious Ecologies: Early Modern Rhetoric and Natural Science. Congratulations, Javier!
The UCLA Spanish & Portuguese Department has reopened for normal business operations (M-F 8am-12pm, 1pm-5pm). Please refer to the UCLA COVID-19 protocols (covid-19@ucla.edu) when coming to campus and visiting the Department. For those up to date with the COVID-19 vaccines, indoor masking is highly recommended but not required. For those NOT up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines, indoor masking is required.
